Mission
- Establish personal contacts, bringing together those responsible for research computing activities at biomedical research institutions
- Identify and document common problems and interests
- Seek opportunities for partnership / consortium activities
- Identify common issues that should be brought to attention of home institutions, government and other funding agencies
Meeting Description
The 2014 BRIITE meeting, originally planned for Oct of 2014 has been postponed.
We are in the process of converting BRIITE from its long-standing informal status into an incorporated, 501c3 organization.
Many of the steps to achieve this involve processes not entirely under our control and some of these are taking longer than we anticipated.
To ensure a completely smooth experience for BRIITE attendees, we have decided to postpone the meeting until all of the incorporation and other organizational steps have fully completed.
We will be announcing the new meeting date in 2015 as soon as the schedule is finalized.

BRIITE was formed to offer IT professionals the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas, offer technical tips, explore opportunities for collaboration. In the current environment, the opportunity to interact with peers and benefit from their collective experiences is even more valuable.
